Location
Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a convenient location near a private beach and charming surroundings. The rooms, though in a separate building by busy tennis courts causing some noise, were clean and cool, but not ideal for small children playing outside. While the service was friendly, it could have been more attentive. The dining options were mixed, with a variety of choices but lacking in some essentials. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. The room, though small without a view, was very clean and adequately prepared. The shower was in bad shape, dirty, and had drainage issues. The service from Christan, Alessandro, Maria, Sharon, and Marcia at the pool bar was just okay. The location was nice and convenient, although the presence of an army base within the hotel was a bit awkward. The dining choices were limited, and the quality was subpar. Despite the shortcomings, the price was reasonable.
The hotel is situated in a very convenient location near Catania beach, but noise could be an issue at night. The rooms are clean and get daily cleaning service, although they require frequent resets of the breaker. The staff is helpful in providing local recommendations and information. However, the area might seem a bit shady, and there is no nearby ATM. Value for money is decent.
I had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, although we were hoping for a balcony. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, beach, and restaurants, with a large bathroom being a plus.
The hotel had clean rooms that were well maintained by the staff daily, although they were located in a separate building near busy tennis courts, which could be a bit noisy and unsafe for small children wanting to play outside. The service provided by Christan, Allesandro, Maria, Sharon, and Marcia at The Rainbow was friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. The location, while easy to reach by bus, was not the best due to being on a major road into Catania, lacking nearby ATMs, and being noisy at night. The dining options were basic, offering bread, cakes, and boiled eggs, but overall pleasant.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location is fantastic, right in front of the beach and close to the airport, but the noise level and presence of mosquitoes due to open windows on the ground floor were a downside. The service was friendly but could benefit from improved English communication. The dining options were limited, with a mix of salty and sweet choices for breakfast. Overall, the hotel offers value for money with some room for enhancement.
